The Bible has completely and comprehensively defined who a youth is. A youth is characterized by strength, vigor, exuberance, passion. There's a fire in the belly of a youth, there's potential, there's a leader, a force of change and revolution. God wants to invent, he is still in the business of creation and we the youth are his agent. We are his vessels. Now that you are a youth, remember your creator (God) and give back unto him the gift of life that he has graciously given to you. If you give God back the life he first gave you, He will protect it. The Bible says we are the apple of His eyes.

Overcoming your fear
Text 3:23-25
How does fear comes?
Fear comes from our feelings
Fear comes due to lack of preparation
Preparation should start when you don't have challenges. Soldiers don't prepare in the times of war.
There are only three options to deal with your fear but only one can efficiently overcome your fear.
You may run from it. You can hope that it will someday disappear. Yes it may disappear but will leave an indelible mark on you. The third option is confronting your fear. Whatever you are afraid of is a pointer to what the Lord want you to do.
You can confront your fear, the fear of the unknown has made many people to fail in life. You are more than what you think you are.
Go and be more than you think you can be. John Mason said "what you see is not all there is". There is more to you than you know so don't let fear hold you back. Courage is not the absence of fear but pressing on despite it.

14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba, Father." 16 The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God's children.

Rom 8:28-30
28 And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose, 29 because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified. Jer 17:7-8
7. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
8. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

The Bible today
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jer 17:14
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. 11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. 12 A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary. 13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.

Birthday without the celebrant

.jpg)
Wishing you a Merry Christmas this season. Remember that you cannot have a birthday party without the celebrant so if you do not yet have the celebrant Jesus Christ in your life then you need to. Jesus came into this world and died for your sins. You know why? Because He love you so much that he laid his life down to the point of death, He died for your sins. And the bible says in the book of John 3:16 that God loves us and he gave His only son for us and puts a condition on it, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Eternity is your privilege, a gift from God but you have to accept it. Think about this season, think about Jesus, if do not have Jesus in your life it doesn't matter who you are, doesn't matter what you do, you're missing the point of the season. You're missing the fullness of the season.
Jesus said "come unto me all ye that are weak and heavily yoked I will give you rest". You've had the party without the celebrant for several years, don't you think it's high time you invited the celebrant.
Jesus loves you. He doesn't judge you, He doesn't condemn you, He doesn't think the worst of you. He just understands your need, your weakness and He's gently saying, "let me help you, let me bear that load for you, I know it's heavy, I know you're tired, allow me to just help you".
If you know that you want to invite the celebrant into your life just say this prayer,
say -
Lord Jesus, I confess that I'm a sinner, I need you, I believe that you died on the cross of Calvary to wash away my sins and you rose on the third day for my justification, I accept you as my Lord and my saviour. Come into my life, give me a new heart and a new mind. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
If you have said that prayer I congratulate you because now you have the celebrant. One final word, LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED.
Once again Congratulations - Alexander.

Isaiah 9:6-7
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

God's kind of love
Text: John 3:16.
Christmas is a season to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ therefore it's a season to remember how much God loves us. True Christmas is a season of love, but what kind of love? Christmas is a season of God's love. A season of the God's kind of love.
What is the God's kind of love?
John 3:16 says "for God so love the world, that he gave...". The keyword there is "gave". God gave, it required of him a sacrifice of giving. As christians we must show God's kind of love and there is no better season to show it than the Christmas season. We must show God's kind of love by obeying the great commission that says "go ye", we must spread the gospel of Christ abroad. We must be His witness even in this season. This is not a season to eat and drink but a season to give as we have received.
In that same john 3:16 it continues thus "...his only begotten son". God gave it all. He gave without reservations, He gave everything. Christians this season must emulate this kind of love by giving our time, our money, our material possessions, our whole being that we may populate the kingdom of heaven and depopulate hell. We must be radical for Jesus not by words of mouth but in deeds. The bible says "faith without work is dead", we must endeavour to do the work of the one who called us out of darkness into his marvellous light. In luke 2:49 Jesus said "wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?". We as christians must be by our Father's business this season.
It continues "...that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life". Now that's wonderful news, that's the good news. The glorious news of salvation for the lost soul. This is the mission statement of our Father's business. We must show ourselves to be diligent workers by going out into the harvest this season. For a whole year we have planted this is the season of harvest.
Let's go out and show God's kind of love this Xmas season. God bless you. Amen.
Stay blessed.

Reasons Jesus parents left him behind
Text: Luke 2:41-52
Reason 1: Tradition, custom (luke 2:41-42)
From these verses you realise that Jesus parents went Passover as a traditional, something they usually do. You can't serve God or go to church as a traditional or as a usual thing to do. If you go before the presence of God without expectations then you will miss Him. And would leave his presence without Him.
Reason 2: Negligence, familiarity. (luke 2:43)
A lot of people missed Jesus long ago and they don't know they have. How could Jesus parent not know that he was not with them. They been with him for 12 years and they must have felt that they knew him already. They must have felt familiar with His ways. We can't allow ourselves to get familiar with God and behave carelessly and allow the devil to sneak in and steal Jesus from our lives. We need to stand firm in Him.
Reason 3: Assumption (luke 2:44)
They supposed that Jesus was among them. We cannot assume, the bible says watch and pray. Jesus told His disciple"pray that you may not fall into temptation". The devil is indeed a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. We must never give the devil a chance in our lives. As militant christians we must be watchful and be prayerful.
Reason 3: It's you and Jesus (luke 2:44).
They felt Jesus was among them. Many people believe because they have believing parents they are automatically saved. Others think because they attend a bible believing church and the pastor is mightily blessed they feel like are saved. None of these is true. A relationship with Jesus Christ is a personal affair. You need to get Jesus for yourself, have a relationship with Him. Be a true disciple.
It is my solemn prayer that as we ponder on these things, the Lord will open our heart to understand and will quicken our spirits to make changes in our lives where necessary. Amen.
Stay blessed. Jesus is Lord.
